STANLEY STALLWORTH 2025
VISION &
PRIORITIES
Standing on the firm belief that we can UNITE AS ONE to move this great City forward, I am both honored and proud formally to announce my candidacy for re-election as Mayor of Evergreen.

As a father raising young sons here in Evergreen, I am deeply concerned about the rise in violent crimes and drug-related offenses. That’s why I’ve made public safety a top priority. Today:
- Our Police Department is fully staffed.
- Our Police Chief has made strategic, diverse, and highly qualified hires.
- We are actively recruiting new officers to keep our community safe.
However, law enforcement alone is not enough. We must continue developing youth engagement programs that give our children healthy, meaningful alternatives—and hope.

On the utilities front, we negotiated a new Power Service Agreement with Alabama Power Company—bringing our electricity rates down from their 2021 levels. In 2024 alone, our Electrical Department generated over $8.2 million in revenue, helping to fund essential city operations—“keeping the lights on” in the City--literally and figuratively. More importantly, we will keep working to reduce electrical rates.

One of our most urgent challenges remains the survival of our local hospital and ambulance service. I have been, and will continue to be, a vocal advocate for keeping these vital assets open and thriving. Our community deserves reliable, local access to emergency care—and I will fight to ensure that never goes away.

MEET STANLEY
Standing on the firm belief that we can UNITE AS ONE to move this great City forward, I am both honored and proud formally to announce my candidacy for re-election as Mayor of Evergreen.
My first term was not without challenges. At times, potential progress was met with resistance and cooperation was difficult. Yet I remained steadfast in my commitment to serve with integrity, vision, and purpose. Despite those early obstacles, we persevered, and I’m proud to say that we made progress. Today, I stand more determined than ever to continue the work of building a stronger, more unified, and forward-moving Evergreen.
As both a financial stakeholder and longtime businessman in this City, I am pleased to report that Evergreen is financially stable. Under my leadership:
- We established a capital reserve fund—the first in over 20 years.
- The City has met every financial obligation on time, without delinquency.
- We’ve modernized our financial reporting and fiscal management systems.
This is real progress. And as Mayor, I will remain focused on fiscal discipline, job creation, and local business growth, while protecting the resources that belong to the people of Evergreen.
With 35 years of legal experience as an attorney, I bring a deep understanding of the legal, business, and ethical responsibilities of this office. Though we always engage the City attorney and specialty legal counsel as needed, I have saved the City thousands of dollars because I have a fundamental understanding of the law when we enter into legal transactions or defend litigation matters. I will continue to lead with transparency
and accountability.
As a graduate of Evergreen High School and a former Conecuh County educator, I remain passionate about improving our public schools. I will keep working with educational leaders, teachers, and families to ensure our children are prepared for the future. Our partnership with Reid State Community College is already yielding results, and I look forward to strengthening that collaboration to create even greater opportunities for our youth and workforce.
My background in real estate and development law has also helped position Evergreen for growth. Development Projects like the Hampton Inn, the Tesla Charging Stations, and Dollar General are just the beginning. Starbucks will open in the first half of 2026. In my next term, I will work collaboratively with a refreshed City Council to revitalize our downtown--starting with the acquisition and redevelopment of vacant properties. A thriving downtown is the heartbeat of a proud city.
This journey has not been easy—but I have never wavered in my belief in Evergreen. Together, we have laid a strong foundation. Now, with your support, we can build upon it—to create a City that is prosperous, unified, safe and future-ready.
Let me be very clear: The Very Soul of Our City is on This Ballot.
Therefore, I respectfully ask that you make the responsible choice and re-elect Stanley B. Stallworth for Mayor of Evergreen.
